Fri 17th March: Twine Basket Weaving with rope
10-2pm at the Margaret River Community Centre, $40pp ($20 if you’ve been to a previous workshop)

Sat 18th March: Weaving Circle Gathering
1-4pm at Matan’s Gallery. Byo weaving projects, friends, friendship and nibbles.

Sun 19th March: Melon Basket Workshop with local natural materials
10-3pm at the Margaret River Community Centre, $50pp
In this new workshop, you will be using twine weaving technique to create an oval- shaped artistic basket with a handle. We will be using local natural materials as much as possible eg. flexible vines/branches, dried arum lilly and watsonia, grasses, raffia… Only a few places for this one!

Tues 21st March, HARMONY DAY: Uthando Project, making dolls for disadvantaged children and women in Africa
1-2.30 pm at the MR Library *Please book at the Library 9780 5600
This project is a lovely creative way to send care and support to children, families and communities in Africa. The sewn/knitted dolls are sent to 5 charities in Africa and distributed to many children and women who use these dolls for trauma therapy and to improve communication. And some dolls are just used to play with! Kits, patterns, ideas will be shared at this intro workshop and fundraising kits will be available for purchase.

Wed 22nd March: Tatami Coil Baskets with used rope
